HOW TO REPLACE A TUBELIGHT (by allen feit 27)

WHAT IS A TUBE LIGHT
Tube shaped fluorescent lamp is termed as tube light. Tube light is a lamp that works on low pressure mercury vapor discharge phenomenon and converts ultra violate ray into visible ray with the help of phosphor coated inside glass tube.

material used in fluorescent lamp

THE MATERIALS USED TO BUILD A TUBE LIGHT ARE GIVEN BELOW
1.     Filament coils as electrodes
 2.    Phosphor coated glass bulb
     3.    Mercury drop
     4.    Inert gases (argon)
     5.    Electrode shield
     6.     End cap
     7.    Glass stem

HOW TO REPLACE A TUBELIGHT
  1. Turn off your light.
  2. Use your ladder or Chair to examine a flickering or dead tube light.
  3. Remove any diffuser or thin plastic cover used to hide your bulbs from view.
  4. Twist the bulb gently until the pins on the end of the bulb align with the slot and move through the slot. (Most tube lights are bi-pin or 2 pins on each end.)
  5. Install your new tube light by inserting one of the two pins on the end of the bulb into the downward facing slot in the round aperture (receiving area) of the light fixture.
  6. Insert the 2nd end the same way so that the bulb is even and level with the lamp housing or floor.
  7. Twist the bulb evenly, guiding the two pins into place in the round aperture.
  8. Turn The Light On.

PRECAUTION

CHANGING THE TUBELIGHT CAN BE DANGEROUS IF NOT DONE PROPERLY AS YOU ARE GOING TO DEAL WITH AN ELECTRICAL MATERIAL. SO, TAKE CARE.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION OF TRANSFORMER( by feit 27)

WHAT IS A TRANSFORMER A transformer is a static electrical device that transfers electrical energy between two or more circuits. A varying current in one coil of the transformer produces a varying magnetic flux, which, in turn, induces a varying electromotive force across a second coil wound around the same core. Electrical energy can be transferred between the two coils, without a metallic connection between the two circuits. Faraday's law of induction discovered in 1831 described the induced voltage effect in any coil due to changing magnetic flux encircled by the coil. Transformers are used for increasing or decreasing the alternating voltages in electric power applications, and for coupling the stages of signal processing circuits. Since the invention of the first constant-potential transformer in 1885, transformers have become essential for the transmission, distribution, and utilization of alternating current electric power. A wide range of transformer designs is e...
